My practice is trauma informed, intersectional and anti-oppressive. I have been using Traditional Chinese Medicine for almost fifteen years to help people with mental health challenges, particularly those with a history of trauma. I also work with folks trying to get pregnant and have healthy babies. I am on the faculty of Humber College and the Institute of Traditional Medicine where I teach trauma informed care to students in varying health fields, as well as Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity programming. My practice is all bodies friendly and welcome members of the LGBTQ2S+ with very open arms. I also am happy to work with parents and children with their health challenges - ADD and autism spectrum, allergies, skin issues and behavioural challenges respond particularly well to Chinese Medicine treatments. I look forward to being a part of your support team.

Indu has been teaching various forms of movement and rest practices since 2017. As a second generation settler on this land with relationships to other lands, Indu Vashist aims to honour the histories of her Punjabi agrarian ancestors by sharing this land and resources with care and responsibility. Within the context of her movement practices, this means that she invites mindfulness and integration of the body, mind, spirit and land. Indu brings a somatic approach into all of her sessions whether that’s through vigorous movement, exploratory gentle movements or even restorative shapes. Through movement, she encourages developing greater understanding of proprioception (your body’s ability to sense movement, action, and location), interoception (your perception of sensations from inside the body), exteroception (your sensitivity to stimuli that are outside the body), and nociception (your ability to discern what is painful stimuli).
